Edit the expiry date for documents

Deadlines shifted? Information missing? No worries, our “Edit Expiry” feature lets you adjust document lifespans with ease, keeping your workflow smooth and organized.

What is edit expiry feature?

Think of it as a built-in timer for your documents. Recipients see the deadline, understand the urgency, and prioritize accordingly. Perfect for proposals, contracts, permission slips – anything time-sensitive.

You can plan and set realistic expiry dates to avoid last-minute edits. With the Edit Expiry Date feature, you're always in control. Manage document lifespans, adapt to changing needs, and keep your workflow flowing smoothly. 

How to edit expiry date?

For eSign documents:

1. Head to "eSign Dashboard" on ZoopSign.
2. Locate the document you need.
3. Click on its title to open details.
4. Find the "Expiry Date" section.
5. And change the expiry to your desired date.

Here's the catch:

• Unopened, expired documents: Remember, exceeding the 30-day grace period for eSign documents means creating a new one.
• Signed documents: Expiry changes are not allowed once your document is signed.

For Doc-Track documents:

1. Navigate to "Doc-Track Dashboard" and locate your document.
2. Click "Update" to modify details.
3. You can edit all document entities and even replace the PDF itself.

• Remember: Editing expiry dates and document entities are premium features available on our paid plans. When can you edit expiry date? Unexpected delays: Negotiations taking longer? Extend the deadline without creating new versions.
• Missing information: Need more time for client feedback? Buy yourself some breathing room.
• Internal changes: Made edits after sharing? Update the expiry to reflect the revised document.
