This document provides detailed guidance on performing fingerprint signing using the Mantra MFS110 device in an Android mobile or Windows device browser. It covers the process with CDSL, NSDL, and VSign as the available eSigning Service Providers (ESPs).
To perform Aadhaar-based fingerprint signing in the production environment using the Mantra MFS110 L1 device, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
Once you have all the above prerequisites, follow the steps below to set up the Mantra MFS110 L1 device for signing.
Go to the Mantra official website to download and install the required drivers. Under the product category, select "Authentication Device - Aadhaar", then choose "MFS110 L1".
Click on the driver and download the "MFS110 Driver". Once the download is complete, double-click the file to begin the installation process.
Click "Install" to start the installation process. Once the installation is complete, click "Finish" to finalize the setup.
Click on "RD Service" and download the "MFS110 Windows RD Service".
Double-click the downloaded file to begin the installation process. Click "Next", then click "Install" to proceed with the device installation.
Click the "Finish" button to complete the installation of the MFS110 RD Service.
Insert the biometric device. A confirmation message stating "Device Attached" will appear at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Open the signing link sent to the signer's email, SMS, or WhatsApp. Follow the instructions on the ESP portal and place your finger on the biometric device to complete the signing process.
Open the MFS110 L1 RD Service App and grant all required permissions.
When prompted, allow "Draw over other apps" by clicking the "Allow" button.
The mobile Settings app will open. Locate MFS110 RD Service in the list of apps and enable the toggle for "Display over other apps".
To install the certificate, open Settings > Password and Security > Credential Storage. Click "Install certificate from storage", then select "CA Certificate".
A confirmation page will appear. Click "Install Anyways" and enter your mobile device password when prompted.
Select the certificate from storage/emulated/0/Android/media/com.mantra.mfs110.rdservice/MantraCert. There will be two certificates—both must be installed.
Click on the first certificate to install it. A confirmation message will appear stating "CA is Installed".
Click on CA Certificate, then install the second certificate. A confirmation message will appear stating "CA Certificate is Installed".
Navigate back to User Credentials and verify that both installed certificates are listed.
Open the MFS110 L1 RD Service App, click on the three dots in the top corner, and select "Restart HTTPS and HTTP" to complete the setup.
Before connecting the device to your Android mobile, ensure that the "OTG Connection" toggle is turned ON in the mobile Settings app.
Accept the permission prompt that appears on the screen. The device initialization process will begin, and a confirmation message will be displayed stating that the device is ready to use.
Open the installed MFS110 L1 RD Service App and ensure that all three parameters are displayed in green, confirming the device is properly set up.
Open the signing link sent to the signer's eMail, SMS, or WhatsApp. Follow the instructions on the ESP portal and place your finger on the biometric device to complete the signing process.
